Our Magnificent Wine
We have specialised in the production of Merlot wines and have
produced a number of award winning wines.
Our wine is processed at Vinpro in Crownwell, Central Otago,
with Grant Taylor as the Wine Maker.
An unbelievable vintage in 2006 when we picked 12.25 tonne.
Wow!!!
Everything went right,
temperatures were excellent and altogether a great vintage.
Here’s hoping this vintage can be repeated.
Our first wine was Thyme Hill Merlot 1999.
This was an award winning wine.
Thyme Hill Merlot 2002, 2003 and
2004
were made by winemaker Grant Taylor and proved to be
popular wines establishing the Thyme Hill brand across the South
Island.
Thyme Hill Merlot 2006 is an excellent wine. It can be sampled at various restaurants around New Zealand. It can also be purchased at wine stores throughout Otago. My first 14 years in the wine industry were spent producing Bordeaux
varietals, it is a real pleasure to be producing them again and to
be involved in Thyme Hill's project.
