Thyme Hill is located 4km from the beautiful town of Alexandra in Central Otago. A small town that is dominated by the Clutha River. The main town hosts a number of small restaurants and the surrounding hills are a great location for walking and it boasts some of the best mountain biking in the country.

Thyme Hill is located four kilometres outside the town of Alexandra, on Letts Gully Road, heading towards Omakau. A private road called Thyme Hill Road runs from Letts Gully Road up to the vineyard. Over the years a number of small vineyards have been developed along Letts Gully Road and the surrounding area.

An hour away from Thyme Hill is both Queenstown and Wanaka, both thriving towns that boast a number of large scale wine operations.
The climate and soil within the Central Otago region makes the area an ideal location to grow and produce wine. Over the past few years Central Otago has become one of the primary wine growing areas within the country.
